NMCC aims for payback in Class 3 regional

New 11.5.08

New Madrid County Central will get its second chance to defeat Potosi when the teams play Wednesday in a Class 3 high school football regional.

Tackling Potosi running back Brandon Bourbon, who leads Southeast Missouri with 2,182 rushing yards, will be crucial, NMCC coach Arlen Pixley said in a published story.

"In the first game we didn't tackle well at all," he said. "It wasn't necessarily anything else except that our kids were flying around and diving at his feet instead of squaring up and taking him on."
