FAQ What is SemoSportsWeb.com? Our site was formed to fill the need for faster sharing of information among sports fans across a broad area of Southeast Missouri. Unlike many area news sites, ours is not affiliated with a print or broadcast company and is individually owned and operated. Because SemoSportsWeb.com is fully independent, we encourage creativity, open dialogues and varied opinions in our blogs, our reporting, our design and our approach to presenting news and information. What information is featured here? Our focus is on exclusive services, including our blogs, high school sports rankings, photo galleries, message boards, extensive links, archived information and more. Our range of coverage includes all team, individual and recreational sports. How is news and information obtained? Much of our news is generated by tips from visitors to our site, often by e-mail or through a feedback form listed on the left side of this page. We welcome information that pertains to our 23-county region that will help our site grow and better serve our area. To submit tryout information, ask questions or post comments that you'd like to share with others, visit our forum. To share your sports photos quickly and easily, visit our gallery. What areas are covered by this site? Our coverage area consists of 23 counties in Southeast Missouri. Among the communities in our region are Cape Girardeau, Caruthersville, Dexter, Farmington, Festus, Kennett, Malden, Park Hills, Perryville, Poplar Bluff, Ste. Genevieve, Salem, Sikeston and Thayer. There are more than 80 high schools and four colleges in our region. Is advertising accepted? Advertising on SemoSportsWeb.com is coordinated through several nationwide affiliate programs that are chosen based on overall interest to our site's readers. At this time we do not offer local advertising, although sponsorships are negotiable for certain features and areas of our site. Contact us here for details and availability. How often is the site updated? News and headlines are updated as warranted, often several times daily. Our exclusive team rankings are updated weekly (or as noted) during the high school sports seasons. Links and other areas of the site are updated as information is received, and the message board is updated with contributions from visitors to the site. Are you hiring? How about freelance jobs? We welcome the chance to discuss freelance positions with bloggers, reporters or photographers throughout our region. For information, e-mail Jamie Hall here. |
