2001 Season Recap

Doug Friese led a group of investors from the Cape Girardeau-based Auto Tire & Parts chain to buy the former Missouri International Racepark and rename it, then re-open the facility for the first time since it last raced in 1998. Limited late models and the two-man cruiser caras were introduced on a mostly rotating schedule, while Sprints headlined weekly programs.
